Meet Suzanne Bowers, L.Ac.,NCCAOM
Suzanne is thrilled to be working with Dory Ellen Fish Acupuncture. She is a 2014 graduate of the Won Institute of Graduate Studies in Glenside, PA. Suzanne was first introduced to acupuncture as a means of dealing with extreme stress and insomnia while working in a demanding corporate environment. Not only did acupuncture provide a positive, non- invasive reduction in symptoms, she also loved how it focused on treating the whole person. While undergoing fertility treatment, Suzanne once again turned to acupuncture which, in turn, provided the impetus to make a career change and study Chinese medicine, focusing her energy on fertility and women’s health. Other areas of interest include pain management, stress/anxiety reduction, and digestive disorders.
Suzanne’s passion for acupuncture comes through in her patient rapport, and treatment strategies. Working in a wide range of settings, Suzanne has witnessed the ability of acupuncture to complement western medicine, enhancing the healing process.
She is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is also enrolled in a certification program for the study of Chinese Herbal medicine. Adjunctive therapies include: gua sha, cupping, tui na (Chinese massage), and traditional nutritional therapy.
Suzanne is a mom to two boys and an adorable mini-goldendoodle. She is involved with the community and school, and enjoys cooking, hiking and traveling in free time.
