Stone Medicine
Daoist Stone medicine is a non-needle technique that dates back to 200 AD. It is based on the origins of Chinese Medicine long before there were stainless steel and other metals and the Daoists learned medicine directly from the principles of nature.
Early Daoist medicine believed that since stones and minerals grow inside the earth that they are living entities with powerful healing properties. Stones reflect the Universe’s interconnectedness to celestial and earthly energies. Minerals create our planet, soil and also our bones and blood and nervous system.
Master Jeffrey Yuen is an 88th generation Doasit priest, who teaches Acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and also Stone Medicine. Dory Ellen has had the privilege of studying with him for the last 20 years, learning about the human spirit and healing, cancer care, and in the past decade Stone medicine.
At Dory Ellen Fish Acupuncture, stones are often combined with acupuncture needles and body work when appropriate. These stone allies potentiate and deepen the results of healing sessions through weight, warmth and mineral content which creates the beautiful colors and patterns.
Stones can be used to promote detoxification, lift the spirit and calm the mind. No belief in crystals, stones, Daoism or even acupuncture is necessary to reap maximum benefits!

Dory Ellen and Judy work together to create custom stretch gemstone bracelets; Dory Ellen determines which stones are needed for a particular patient, and Judy crafts the bracelet to size. You can also shop from a selection of beautifully designed bracelets and necklaces on display at the office - each one is unique!
